Worried about something called Chlamydia?

Chlamydia is the most common sexually-transmitted infection in the UK, and around one in 10 young people are infected. Many people don’t even know that they have got Chlamydia, which is why it’s important to get tested every six months or when you change sexual partners.

What are the symptoms?

Chlamydia often doesn’t have any symptoms at first, which is why it’s important to be tested.

Chlamydia can cause pain in your pelvic area (the lower part of your stomach) and can even make you infertile if it’s not treated. This will mean you may not be able to get pregnant in the future. The infection can be treated but the damage the infection does can last you a lifetime.
